egg, there is the potential to create a wonderful, new life. During the

not even a consideration. It is difficult to imagine that an orgasm can
result in a new life.

Lovejuice, 1998, Oil on canvas"Love
Juice"
My mind
is a plug
and the universe
is the socket.
My mind fits
into it
like a hand
in a pocket.
I can feel
the current
oozing through my
circuitry.
Becoming part of me.
It's a lot of juice
for me to hold inside.
Gotta let it loose.
Let it flow out
onto the paper
and out among
the people;
an inverted
black hole
of love.
My mind
is a plug.--Deron Cohen
"Dream of the Protector", Oil on masonite, 12" X 24", 2010As a husband and new father, I am under a lot of pressure to be able to care for my family. The anxiety associated with this pressure often manifests in the world of the imagination and dreams. Reality, 1997, Oil on canvasReality
What I see
as reality
is caving in
on me.
It is my creation:
the elation
and the devastation.
A state of mind:
If you think you are blind,
you are blind.
It is a simple twist:
Enter with a fist
or a kiss.
A simple decision
that could alter
my future vision
of whether reality
caves in on me
or if I cave in
on it.
