Carlton Lear commissioned me to do a piece reminiscent of 'Cat's Dream.' He wanted an image of a tropical paradise and the animals found there. 'Abundance' was a title I thought up for the piece. This title of this painting was a playful jab at Painter of Light, Thomas Kinkade, who often creates images of light houses and homes in forests. In this image, a sea monster attacks the light house with its suction-cupped tentacles.
